Sharon Robinson - Architectural Designer

I started in Architecture at the age of 7 or so. I used to draw house plans and while falling asleep at night, walk through the spaces that I was creating. When it came time to chose a career path, there wasnt much need to deliberate, it was pretty clear to me.

I finished my National Diploma when I was 21 and then after a couple of years working for a residentail housing company, drawing their plans, I headed to London to explore Europe. When I came home, the  desire to futher my studies was still burning, so over the course of the next 4 years, I completed my Bachelor of Architectural Studies, whilst still working 4 days a week in Hamilton for an Architects Firm. I told myself that when my passion for what I was learning dimmed to the point I dreaded the weekly trip up to Auckland to attend classes, that I would stop. It didnt and I graduated in 2010.

My passion for the environment and the firm belief that you have to be in to change it, has lead me to start my own company, to be part of the story of the future of our housing and our movement to tread more lightly on this earth. In 2016 I was fortunate enough to renovate my own small 60m2 home to walk the talk of my design philosphy. It has been a incredble learning experience and I understand the journey far more, from my clients perspectives. The renovation was featured in good magazine in Issue 67 which was a huge celebration moment for me. Click HERE to view the article.

I love what I do. I love the connection with my clients, thats why I chose residentail architecture and I enjoy bringing value to the process that has a major impact on peoples lifestyle, health and happiness.
