We are so good and talking about what we do, but I am focusing on "my why", because "my what" will follow on from that. So a little about "my why"

I want to make the New Zealand housing stock healthier, happier homes for people. My design philosophy is around smaller homes, fit for purpose and designed for the actual occupant's needs and requirements. It is about making our spaces a better place to live. I am striving to be the change that I want to see in our built environment and really enjoy working with like-minded people. My Small Smart Spaces standard plan range is one of my approaches to helping people with the design and build process using my skills and knowledge to achieve healthy happy affordable homes. It allows for an architectural design solution without the fear and uncertainty that so many people associate with architects while offering smaller, quality-focused solutions not often offered by mainstream housing companies.

There is an opportunity for builders who want to offer quality small standard plans to their clients, but who don't have the resources to produce these on their own, an avenue to do so. And of course, there are those people who want a particular builder to build their home, but who aren't sure about the design process. By offering transparent fixed price structures, options for sustainability and a base to work from, I am aiming to make the process easier and less stressful for all involved.

I am hopeful that by being part of a different solution that could benefit a quality, conscious market, change is only a matter of time.
