The reason for this step is to understand The process, the requirements and the aspirations. This is about understanding how it's all going to work for you by about listening, understanding, getting on the same page and finding the best way forward. You are also very keen and excited about your project and are looking for lots of ideas to consider and express. There are also issues and things that you may not be aware of with your project, which would serve you well to know upfront. And I want to understand what your needs are, so we can work together for the best possible result.
This Design Advice Consultation allows for a detailed discussion about your project, the specific requirements of your site or existing house and the expectations of your budget, brief and other consultants who are required to contribute to your project down the track. I also discuss estimate costs of the process including what Council could charge for consent and what current building trends are suggesting your build price may be. There is no big agreement full of terms and conditions and no feeling of being trapped into a contract you still aren’t sure about, with a process you know very little about. This a feasibility exercise, and its about finding the way which works for you and all your requirements.
This stage really about adding value to you and your process right at the beginning so that all decisions from this point forward are informed ones.
