There are some additional steps offered by Architects in this one, namely Preliminary and Sketch design. I can understand why clients get so confused. I have found that simplifying this to one step, it simplifies the process for both me as a designer and for you. A clear brief also is key to making this first step a productive and accurate one.

Firstly Concept Design is about taking that design brief, looking at your site or existing house with its planning requirements and topography and considering the budget and coming up with something that works with your aspirations. Remember this has all been established in the Design Advice Consultation so there should be no guesswork. This is the first cut and if we get it right it is the largest design component. This is the part where I love to surprise you with your dream into 3D, making it better than you imagined.

The software I used allows me to show the design of your dream home in a tangible 3D model with accurate images. It allows us to come together with our different way of seeing and understanding things so that we all are on the same page and work from the same place of understanding and expectations.

It is my intention that when the building starts to develop on-site, you are not surprised by what the spaces look and feel like, that you are already familiar with what is developing in front of your eyes.

This means that we need to spend time making sure you are happy with this virtual 3Dimensional Design before we get too far down the track.
