(BAS, NDip)
Architectural Designer, Certified Passive House Designer, Homestar Professional
I started in Architecture at the age of 7 or so. I used to draw house plans and while falling asleep at night, walk through the spaces that I was creating. When it came time to choose a career path, there wasn’t much need to deliberate, it was pretty clear to me.
My passion for the environment and the firm belief that you have to be in to change it, has led me to start Smart Living Spaces in 2014, to be part of the story of the future of our housing and our movement to tread more lightly on this earth. In 2016 I was fortunate enough to renovate my own small 60m2 home to walk the talk of my design philosophy. It has been an incredible learning experience and I understand the journey far more, from my clients perspectives. The renovation was featured in good magazine in Issue 67 which was a huge celebration moment for me.
People and Planet are principals of my practice. Walking the talk, I became a Homestar Assessor and a Certified Passive House Designer. These two areas are affecting great change and incentives in our build environment to build smarter, more efficiently and with more consideration. I am active in helping the build and design industry navigate the building for climate change challenges which are starting to affect our industry in a large way. Low energy bills without a compromise in health and comfort and good choices in planet friendly materials are the name of the game. Sustainable architecture can be smart and stunning.
I love what I do. I love the connection with my clients, that’s why I chose residential architecture and I enjoy bringing value to the process that has a major impact on peoples financial, physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing.
