The Little Hayes House

This little house is located in a peaceful quiet neighborhood, a stones throw to Wellington Street Beach and the famous Hayes Common Cafe. Walk along the river to the Hamilton Gardens or grab a quick Uber trip to the Claundelands event centre. Hamilton CBD is a 25 to 20 walk along the gorgeous river path. This house belongs to Architectural Designer, Sharon Robinson, of Smart Living Spaces. It has been lovingly restored with oiled timber floors. The bathroom space has been modernized whilst still keeping the original 1940s charm. The open plan kitchen living area has been renovated and opened up with French doors to both side. Timber feature walls have been created out of recycled timber from the original home. An insert wood burner has been installed to replace the old open fire place. The original timber windows have been stripped back and oiled to keep the character of this old little home. Out the front is a deck which is a great sunny spot to sit in the afternoon. The private back garden has space for snooze in the sun on the grass or a spell in the hammock in the Cones aster tree. There is a patio area ideal for alfresco dining or breakfast. Planted out with native planting, the section is fully secured with a fence and gate providing secure off street parking.
